Top Meme Cryptocurrencies Surge Amidst Market Decline

Meme Coins Dominate Top Performers
Out of the five best performers in the top 100, four are meme coins. The remaining member is BGB, the native cryptocurrency of the Bitget exchange.
Cat in Dogs World (MEW) Returns to Top 100
Less prominent meme coins are also experiencing gains. Cat in Dogs World (MEW), the first cat-coin to enter the top 100, has returned to the rankings. With a 3.5% increase, its market capitalization has reached almost $750 million.
Benchmark Crypto Market Remains Negative
Despite the surge in meme cryptocurrencies, the overall crypto market benchmark remains negative. The total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market has declined by 1.2% today, edging closer to $2.4 trillion.
