Billy Markus Declares He Will Not Work on Any New Crypto Projects
Billy Markus, a co-founder of Dogecoin, has publicly stated that he will not work on any new cryptocurrency projects or launch another meme project.
Past Projects and Failures
Markus, known by the alias "Shibetoshi Nakamoto" on the X platform, revealed that he has not worked on any cryptocurrency projects since 2014. Prior to the launch of Dogecoin in 2013, he only signed off on one cryptocurrency, which he acknowledged was a failure.
User Reactions
Markus's claims are not new, and despite attempts by followers to draw him back into the space by recalling Dogecoin's success, they have been unsuccessful.
Opinions on Cryptocurrencies
Markus expressed that Ethereum tokens are unsuitable for payment due to high transaction fees and stated these tokens are only used for gambling purposes. He shares a similar view regarding Solana tokens.
Markus stated that there are almost no good cryptocurrency projects left today, which he feels is not motivating enough to start a significant project.
Warning
Markus issued a warning that there is a new Ethereum-based version of his past project, Bells, but reminded that it is not his project.
