NYSE Arca Proposes Rule Change for Grayscale's Dogecoin ETF
NYSE Arca has filed a 19b-4 form with the SEC to approve a rule change for listing and trading shares of Grayscale's spot Dogecoin ETF. This follows Grayscale's announcement of the creation of Grayscale Dogecoin Trust.
The proposed ETF would provide investors with exposure to Dogecoin without holding it directly. Coinbase Custody Trust Company would serve as custodian, while BNY Mellon would handle administrative and transfer duties.
The 19b-4 filing is a crucial step for new ETF listings. After publication in the Federal Register, the SEC has 45 days to review and approve, disapprove, or initiate proceedings to disapprove the rule change. The review period may extend to 90 days if the SEC provides a reasoned explanation or NYSE Arca agrees.
Grayscale continues to expand its ETF efforts, having recently filed to convert its XRP Trust into an ETF. The company is also exploring ETFs for Litecoin and Solana.
