Dogecoin (DOGE) Outperforms WIF, PEPE, and Other Top Meme Coins – Here’s Why

Dogecoin (DOGE) has once again asserted its dominance, outperforming other top meme coins such as PEPE, WIF, SHIB and others. While the broader meme coin market has faced a slight downturn, with most coins down around 10% in the past week, DOGE has managed to defy the trend, rising by 6% in price today.

Other top meme coins such as PEPE, WIF, SHIB are also up, but not more than 3%.

It’s worth noting that the entire cryptocurrency market has been experiencing a correction, with Bitcoin struggling to break above the $67-68k range as the highly anticipated halving event draws near. However, DOGE’s resilience during this period is a testament to the coin’s popularity and the unwavering support of its dedicated community. After all, we don’t see any meme coin taking over DOGE’s place as a meme king anytime soon.

Interestingly, April is historically a strong month for the meme coin king, with DOGE Day falling on April 20th. This annual celebration has become a significant event for the DOGE community, often leading to a surge in the coin’s price.

Currently, DOGE is trading around $0.18, with the $0.20 resistance level now in sight. Beyond that, more ambitious targets of $0.33 and $0.46 are aligned with the 1.618 and 2.618 Fibonacci extension levels, respectively.

Technical analysis of DOGE’s current state reveals a Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 53, indicating a neutral market sentiment. The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) 20 stands at $0.18, providing a crucial support level.
