Billy Markus Mocks Bitcoin Bulls After Interest Rate Cut
Billy Markus, the creator of Dogecoin, recently commented on Bitcoin's price reaction to the Federal Reserve's interest rate cut.
In a sarcastic tweet, Markus pointed out that Bitcoin defied expectations by falling after the rate cut announcement. He shared screenshots showing the initial rise in prices but their subsequent decline.
Markus' criticism echoes his previous comments about crypto conferences. He criticized Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin for singing on stage at the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore.
Markus stated that he wished all crypto conferences were banned, while Bitcoin maximalist Samson Mow said that Vitalik's performance proved Ethereum's "death."
Despite the initial decline, Bitcoin has since recovered and is currently trading at around $62,135.
