Despite the recent decline in the crypto market (with Bitcoin falling 5% within 10 hours), both Metaplanet and El Salvador acquired more Bitcoin. Metaplanet's purchase occurred just before Bitcoin's price dropped below $91,000 on February 25th.
El Salvador purchased 7 Bitcoin on February 24th, when the cryptocurrency was worth around $94,050.
Despite negative market sentiment, Metaplanet's BTC Yield (the percentage change in the ratio of Bitcoin holdings to diluted shares) has increased by 23.3% this quarter. The company aims to achieve a yield of 35% per quarter.
According to BitBo's BitcoinTreasuries.NET, Metaplanet is the fourteenth largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally. El Salvador now owns 6,088 Bitcoin, valued at $560.7 million.
