The Shiba Inu team has unveiled detailed plans for an upcoming hard fork of the Shibarium network in the latest issue of "SHIB Magazine."
This strategic upgrade aims to enhance network performance, accelerate transaction processing, and pave the way for future scalability and widespread adoption.
Two-Phase Hard Fork Strategy
The Shibarium hard fork will be implemented in two phases:
Phase One: Bor Hard Fork
Scheduled for May 2nd at 2:30 AM EST at block height 4,504,576, this update targets the Bor layer of Shibarium. It includes proposals to:
- Increase the calculation of state sync confirmations
- Introduce a 128-second delay on state sync confirmation to mitigate network partition issues
Phase Two: Heimdall Hard Fork
Scheduled for May 3rd at 12:30 AM EST at block height 3,941,864, this update focuses on the Heimdall layer.
