On September 4, 2024, Tether partnered with Reku, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, to promote a comprehensive understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology among Indonesians. This partnership will embark on a roadshow across ten major cities in Indonesia to enhance crypto literacy through educational initiatives.

Roadshow Overview and Timeline

Commencing in September 2024, the roadshow will run until March 2025, targeting prominent cities such as Bali, Medan, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, and Balikpapan. The culmination of this initiative will be a grand event in Jakarta. The focus of this collaboration is to educate the Indonesian population on the benefits of blockchain technology, digital assets, and peer-to-peer systems.

This surge in activity was reflected in a substantial rise in crypto transactions, amounting to 211 trillion Indonesian Rupiah (US$13 billion) in May of this year. The number of registered crypto investors had skyrocketed, reaching 20.16 million by April 2023.
