Dogecoin stands out as the best-performing altcoin in the top 50, with a gain of just over 77% from the beginning of the year to April 15, rising from $0.09 to $0.15 according to TradingView data.

Many analysts attribute the price increase to consistent institutional inflows into 10 spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the US, which were approved in January of this year and generated over $12 billion in cumulative net inflows, according to Farside Investors data.

Alternative Layer-1 network Aptos and decentralized crypto exchange Uniswap recorded losses of 35% and 31% respectively in the last seven days, ranking among the projects with the biggest drops in market value among the top 50 tokens.
