- CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju alleges that Chinese authorities may have sold $20 billion worth of Bitcoin seized in the PlusToken scheme in 2019. By comparing the value of PlusToken's 194,775 Bitcoin reserve with the value found within mixers, Ju believes the seized Bitcoin has been sold. Despite Chinese government claims of transferring the Bitcoin to the national treasury, clarification on its sale or retention remains lacking. Ju maintains the likelihood of a censored regime holding censorship-resistant money is low.
