Bitcoin Soars to New All-Time High, Nearing $100,000
The leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), has surged to a remarkable new all-time high of $95,690. This upward momentum has positioned BTC at a critical juncture, with only a 4.7% increase required to breach the $100,000 threshold.
ETH/BTC Parity Declines
As Bitcoin's dominance rises to 61.4%, the ETH/BTC parity has fallen below 0.033, reaching its lowest point since April 2021.
Liquidation Surge
Accompanying Bitcoin's ascent has been a significant surge in liquidation activity within the cryptocurrency market. Over the past 24 hours, approximately $393 million worth of positions have been liquidated.
Of this total, $267 million represented long positions, while $126 million accounted for short positions. Bitcoin led the way with $77.4 million in liquidations, followed by Ethereum and Dogecoin (DOGE).
Binance Liquidation
The largest single liquidation occurred in the ETH/BTC trading pair on Binance, with 149,210 investors forced to close their positions within the last 24 hours.
