A prominent member of the Dogecoin and X teams, known as "DogeDesigner" (@cb_doge), has clarified which cryptocurrencies are accepted by Elon Musk's leading company, Tesla, the electric car manufacturer.
Amidst prevalent scams and misinformation, @cb_doge emphasized that Tesla currently accepts payments in only one cryptocurrency: Dogecoin.

The DOGE community welcomed this announcement with enthusiasm. One X user exclaimed that it was time for Elon Musk "to replenish the store for us with some goodies" that could be purchased with Dogecoin.
In January 2022, Elon Musk announced Tesla's acceptance of DOGE as an experiment. Since then, users have been able to acquire Tesla merchandise from the company's online store using the original meme cryptocurrency. Notable items sold for DOGE include the "Giga Texas" belt buckle and the Tesla Cyberwhistle.
Months later, SpaceX followed suit and began offering its merchandise for DOGE. In May of this year, Dogecoin was officially added as a payment option on Tesla's website.
During a recent visit to the Berlin Gigafactory, Musk hinted that Tesla might eventually sell electric cars for DOGE.
Throughout the year, Musk has repeatedly confirmed that neither X, Tesla, nor any of his companies intend to release a native cryptocurrency. This clarification came in response to misleading rumors about X's alleged plans to launch an "X coin."
