MarsBit news, Marshall Hayner, director of the Dogecoin Foundation, refuted the view that Dogecoin (DOGE) is a security in the latest interview with Fox Business. He said that a security is usually a financial asset with future earnings expectations and a centralized entity behind it , none of these characteristics apply to Dogecoin. Also, unlike other crypto projects, Dogecoin founders Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus did not use the project to amass a large fortune. Marshall Hayner believes that Dogecoin is a fork of Bitcoin, and if Bitcoin is not considered a security, then Dogecoin should not be a security either. (U. Today)
