Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse believes that the meme token Dogecoin (DOGE) has not been beneficial to the cryptocurrency industry. Speaking at Consensus, Garlinghouse expressed concerns about the lack of regulatory clarity in the United States and the difficulty in predicting institutional investment opportunities.

I don't think Dogecoin has been a good thing for the industry. I don't know what the use case is or if there are projects being built to solve real utility."
